Program Summary
Inaugurated in the 1999-2000 academic year, the program provides promising young scholars specializing in East Asia a year at Yale in which they can prepare their dissertations for publication, pursue research projects, gain experience teaching one advanced seminar to undergraduates, and utilize Yale's resources.
Eligibility
Proposals with transregional emphasis on China, Japan, and Korea are especially welcome. Prefer applicants with Ph.D. completed within last three years.
Stipend
During the 2002-2003 academic year, the salary was $40,000; moving and research stipends, health insurance (spouses and family included), library privileges, and office space.
