Program Summary
The Department of Religion at Wellesley College invites applications for a two-year Mellon Post-doctoral Fellowship to begin July 1, 2004. We seek candidates with significant expertise in Hinduism, especially those trained in Religion or South Asian Studies graduate programs.
Eligibility
This appointment is open to qualified candidates from both US and non-US universities. Applicants must have completed the PhD no earlier than 1999 and no later than October 1, 2004.
Stipend
Fellows will teach one course in the first year, two (one each semester) in the second, and will deliver one public lecture. A broad range of mentoring and developmental resources will be available, including funds for travel, research, and pedagogical projects. Fellows will receive a salary equivalent to that of a beginning assistant professor.
