Soroptimist International of Los Angeles is offering its annual fellowship to an outstanding woman graduate student. Soroptimist International's six programs of service are: Economic and Social Development; Education; Environment; Health; Human Rights/Status of Women; International Goodwill and Understanding.
Eligibility
Soroptimist International of Los Angeles is offering its annual fellowship to an outstanding woman who are or will be a graduate student enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education in Los Angeles county. This student must be a citizen of the US, and a resident of California. The field of study is open.

Application and for more information
Applicants must submit the following to the Chair of the Fellowship Committee:
* An application form
* Current resume including the following information: Education, Scholastic and/or other honors received, Offices held in college or professional organizations, and Employment
* Response to the following questions on separate sheets of paper. Responses are limited to no more than two (2) typed pages, double spaced, covering al three of the items listed below.
o Define your aim or purpose of graduate study, including your career goals.
o Describe your community service activities.
o Outline your interests and hobbies.
* Current letters of reference from three unrelated persons, written specifically to support your application for this award. At least one of the references must be unrelated to a college/university. Reference letters are sent directly to the Chair of the Fellowship Committee by the author of the letter.
