Visiting Professor at UCLA in Winter and Spring, 2005
Damon L. Woods taught the course "Religion and Society in Southeast Asia" in Winter 2005 in the UCLA Department of Asian Languages and Cultures. In Spring 2005 he taught the Senior Seminar "Reading Southeast Asia" in the Southeast Asian Studies Interdepartmental Program. Prof. Woods received his Ph.D. in Southeast Asian history from UCLA. He has been a lecturer at UCLA, the University of California, Irvine, and California State University, Long Beach. His research concerns the Philippines and is tied to Tagalog documents from the sixteenth through eighteenth centuries.
