Sophia Siddique Harvey obtained her Ph.D. in Critical Studies from the University of Southern California in 2001. She has taught courses in Asian Horror, Southeast Asian Cinema, and Ethnographic Field Methods and is currently working on her first book on contemporary Singapore cinema. She taught "Screening Southeast Asia" in the UCLA Southeast Asian Studies Interdepartmental Program in Spring 2005.
