On January 14, 2003, The Center for European and Eurasian Studies hosted a lecture by Harald Müller, Professor of International Relations at the Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt. Professor Müller offered a frank assessment of German Foreign Policy and the Iraqi Issue.
Can the Iraqi War be avoided? In light of, what appears to be, imminent U.S. military action in Iraq, the European allies are coalescing around a position that questions the wisdom of Bush administration policy. Professor Müller discussed the reasons why Germany takes a different and more cautious approach to launching a war with Iraq. Please see the attached Powerpoint presentation of his remarks.
