Funding is not administered by the African Studies Center.
The Rockefeller Foundation is engaged in programmatic transition under a new leadership. As part of this process, responsibility for the Africa Dissertation Internship Awards program is being transferred to the Nairobi office. The program officers in Nairobi are currently exploring with African institutions how this program could best serve African institutional needs. While the program is likely to be maintained in some form, the eligibility criteria are likely to be quite different. We expect announcement of a restructured program to be made during the first half of next year.In the meantime, the ADIA competition in its present form will cease after the Spring of 1999 competition. Additional information will be posted on the foundations web site.
