IBSA is a nonprofit student organization involved in cultural, social, and community projects that promote a better understanding of Indonesian culture. IBSA also strives to foster education and leadership skills which will benefit students, UCLA and the surrounding community.
Established in 1995, IBSA has been successful in enriching UCLA's Indonesian cultural awareness through its social and cultural activities. IBSA has built support networks, working relationships, and friendships between the peoples of member organizations, the UCLA student body, outside communities such as PERMIAS (the national Indonesian student organization) and the Indonesian consulate in Los Angeles.
