The President's Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is a University of California system-wide program offering postdoctoral research fellowships and faculty mentoring to qualified scholars committed to teaching and research careers that will enhance diversity at the University of California.
For fellowships in the Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Professions, the program prefers candidates whose research emphasizes issues such as diversity, multi-culturalism and communities underserved by traditional academic research. For fellowships in Mathematics, Engineering, Life Science and Physical Science, the program prefers candidiates with a demonstrated record of mentoring or outreach activities that promote access and opportunity in higher education.
Fellowships are awarded for research conducted under faculty sponsorshipon any one of the University of California's ten campuses. Each award is for a period of 12 months, renewable for one year.
