BANGLADESH: Belal's death anniversary observed

Former 'Danik Sangram' Khulna bureau chief, who was killed in a 2005 bomb blast, remembered today

Khulna --- Khulna Press Club and Khulna Metropolitan Union of Journalists separately observed the third death anniversary of journalist Sheikh Belaluddin Ahmed yesterday.

Khulna Press Club held a discussion meeting at the club with its president Wadudur Rahman Panna in the chair. It was addressed by political leaders, journalists and representatives of the elite.

They said Belaluddin was an honest journalist who never compromised on principles. The discussion was followed by a Milad Mehfil.

Khulna Metropolitan Union of Journalists held a discussion meeting at its office with its president Md Anisuzzaman in the chair.

Sheikh Belaluddin was killed in a bomb attack on February 5, 2005.
