The International Institute at UCLA has launched a call for proposals for its 9th Annual Going Global Conference. The theme of this year's edition is "Agency and Community in Combating Global Challenges".
In an effort to adhere to COVID guidelines and continue the dialogue that is needed, the Institute will host the conference online on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
Amid COVID-19, environmental crises, and shifting norms, communities across the world play a significant role in overcoming obstacles. This conference emphasizes the distinct ways in which communities acquire agency and how they use this agency to address issues on local, regional, and global scales. Graduate students and upper-level undergraduates in Humanities, Social Science, Arts, Public Health, Education, and Public Affairs fields are especially encouraged to apply.
