Omri Shafer Raviv
2025–2027 Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Omri Shafer Raviv
is a historian of modern Israel. His research focuses on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the relationship between governance and science, urban planning, and the digitization of texts. Shafer Raviv holds a Ph.D. in Jewish History, an M.A. in Israel Studies with a specialization in urban and regional planning, and a B.A. in General History and International Relations—all from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During his doctoral studies, he spent a year as an exchange student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Beginning September 1st, he will join the UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center for Israel Studies as a postdoctoral fellow.
