El pacto de Adriana is Lissette Orozco’s first feature-length film. The documentary follows Orozco’s aunt, Adriana, who was arrested while visiting Chile in 2007. Adriana was charged with kidnapping and murder while working for Pinochet’s secret police. In 2011, as criminal case unfolded, Adriana fled to Australia. Orozco delves headlong into her aunt’s murky past and turbulent present. The filmmaker declares, “I have privileged
access to the perpetrators of violence during the Chilean military dictatorship and I am prepared to follow things through to the end to find out the truth and learn who my aunt really is.”
