Professor Caminero-Santangelo (University of Kansas) is an academic scholar and activist. In addition to University service, she works with immigrant rights organizations and gives community presentations on U.S. Latino/a/x literature and culture and immigrant rights. She is the author of the book Documented the Undocumented: Latino Narrative and Social Justice in the Era of Operation Gatekeeper, and numerous articles including, "Latina/o Literary Forms", "From Human Rights to Social Justice: Literature and the Struggle for a Better World", and "Making a Place: Life Narratives of Undocumented Youth."
