Kong Xiaowei (B.A., 1999, and M.A., 2002, in Economics, Nankai University) is a Ph.D. candidate in Finance at the University of Hong Kong, and a Visiting Research Associate at the UCLA Center for Chinese Studies through the end of January 2006.

Ms. Kong's research interests include the economics of finance, the corporate governance of Chinese firms, and the economics of human capital, especially the issue of the efficiency of human capital use in Chinese corporate governance arrangements.

Ms. Kong's presentation will be in Chinese.
