Li Fangyin is Director of the Art Museum of Dazu Stone Carvings in Chongqing. He is the author of, among others, The Art of Dazu Stone Carvings [Dazu shike yishu] (Chongqing, 1994), Donor Inscriptions from Beishan Caves of Dazu [Dazu Beishan shiku gongyangren tiji] (Chongqing,1996), and The Art of Dazu Stone Carvings: A Wolrd Heritage Site [Dazu shike yishu: shijie wenhua yichan] (Chongqing, 2001); and the coauthor or coeditor of, among others, Dazu Stone Carvings [Dazu Shike] (Chongqing, 1994), Collected Essays on Dazu Stone Carvings, vols. 1 & 2 [Dazu shike lunwenji] (Chongqing, 1997), A Record of Inscriptions from Dazu Stone Carvings [Dazu shike mingwen lu] (Chongqing, 1999) and The Complete Edition of Dazu Stone Carvings: The Beishan Volume [Dazu shike diaosu quanji: Beishan bian] (Chongqing, 1999).
Lei Yuhua (Ph.D., Sichuan University) is Associate Researcher at the Archaeological Institute of Chengdu. She is an expert on cave temple sites in the Chengdu area and in northern Sichuan. She is the coauthor of, among others, Cave Temples of Guangyuan [Guangyuan shiku] (Chengdu, 2002), and Cave Temples of Bazhong [Bazhong shiku] (Chengdu, 2003). Since 2002, she has been collaborating with Professor Hida Romi of Waseda University on a publication project that investigates and digitally reconstructs cave sites at Pujiang and Qionglai (central Sichuan).
The lecturers will speak in Chinese. Translation will be available.
