Su Bomin (Ph.D. in chemistry, Lanzhou University) is Deputy Director of the Conservation Institute of the Dunhuang Academy. Dr. Su has been involved in the conservation of the murals at Dunhuang for more than a decade, focusing on painting techniques and prevention of deterioration. He is currently visiting the Getty Conservation Institute where he is undertaking an analysis of ancient organic dyes.
Dr. Su wil speak in Chinese. Translation will be provided.
