The enjoyment of a Chinese garden comes not merely from its physical landscape but also from the landscape of the mind, where cultural imagery adds deeper layers of meaning. Prof. Puay-peng Ho will explore how the literati of the 16th century brought the art of the garden to its greatest heights using literature, art, and philosophy to express the spirit of nature.
