Politics and Buddhism will be the focus of "The Socio-Political Geography of Buddhism in Contemporary Societies,"
Following the presentations will be a screening of To the Land of Bliss, a 2001 documentary on Chinese Buddhists under the People’s Republic of China. The film's creator describes the film as "a window into a vibrant Buddhist world that has remained unknown to many within and outside of China."
