Vera Gribanova is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at Stanford University. Her 2010 University of California at Santa Cruz dissertation investigated the morphosyntax and phonology of the Russian verbal complex, and her research interests include: the morphology and syntax of Heritage Languages, Russian prefixal morphophonology, locality and its instantiation in derivational (Distributed Morphology) and parallel (Optimality Theory) approaches, ellipsis in Russian and putative ellipsis in Uzbek, and the coordinated multiple wh-construction and its interpretation across several languages.
