In this webinar, mexicanista scholar Maarten Van Delden, professor of the UCLA Department of Spanish and Portuguese, will discuss his new book, Reality in Movement: Octavio Paz as Essayist and Public Intellectual, Vanderbilt University Press, 2021 with Malva Flores, Universidad Veracruzana. Reality in Movement explores Paz not just biographically or as an intellectual, but through the various conversations he was a part of, ranging from feminism to psychoanalysis, in the time in which he lived. 

En este webinario, el investigador mexicanista, Maarten Van Delde, profesor del departamento de español y portugues de UCLA, hablará sobre su nuevo libro, Reality in Movement: Octavio Paz as Essayist and Public Intellectual, Vanderbilt University Press, 2021, con Malva Flores de la Universidad Veracruzana. Reality in Movement explora a Paz, no solamente de manera biográfica o como intelectual, pero a través de varias conversaciones que él tuvo, variando desde el feminismo hasta el psicoanálisis, tomando en cuenta el tiempo en que vivió.
