SOUTH‐EAST EUROPEAN FILM FESTIVAL
BUSINESS CONFERENCE 2014
Organized by the South‐East European Film Festival Los Angeles; Sponsored by UCLA Center for European and Eurasian Studies (CEES) and UCLA Anderson, Center for Global Management/ Center for International Business Education and Research (CIBER). With support from the Romanian American Professionals Network.
The conference is the industry section of the festival for independent filmmakers to connect globally. It is a dynamic platform for international talent ahead of the curve, focusing on innovation and opportunities for entrepreneurial filmmakers. The panel is a lively event where everything from production and financing, story-telling, promotion and acquisition is discussed in detail, with strong participation from an engaged audience of American and European independent filmmakers. In a city where émigrés wrote and directed some of the most memorable American films, what are the opportunities available to today’s newcomers to Hollywood? What are the pathways to the U.S. market for foreign-language movies, and what are U.S. media companies looking for overseas? Who are the people connecting the dots in the international entertainment marketplace?
Join the conversation with our panelists, filmmakers and entertainment executives from the U.S. and Europe who work internationally on both sides of the film spectrum: creative and financial.
