Women of Courage Leading Change

A Conversation with Alumnae of the International Women of Courage Award

Crown Auditorium
UCLA Anderson School of Management

In a special panel event for this Women’s History Month, UCLA will celebrate nearly two decades of women recognized by the U.S. Secretary of State as International Women of Courage (IWOC). Whether as an investigative journalist, acclaimed filmmaker, human rights lawyer, independent blogger, nonprofit founder, or another form of transformative leader, these honorees have distinguished themselves as advocates for peace, justice, human rights, and the empowerment of women and girls, often at great personal risk and sacrifice.

As part of hosting several IWOC alumnae for this visit to our campus—including those additionally distinguished as Time100 influencers and more—panelists will share the backstories of their transformative change efforts, revealing how courage can elevate freedom and dignity over corruption and injustice.

For more on the event and a full list of honorees, please visit: https://www.anderson.ucla.edu/about/office-of-inclusive-excellence/international-women-courage

UCLA Anderson is pleased to host this event with the support of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, Office of Alumni Affairs, the International Institute, and American Women for International Understanding.
