On Sunday November 21, 2021, the UCLA Y&S Nazarian Center for Israel Studies in partnership with Israel's Haaretz newspaper hosted an online conference on Israeli National Security and Israel's most pressing strategic challenges.

The conference included keynote speeches by Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz and U.S. Senator Robert Menendez, interviews with former Mossad director Yossi Cohen, former Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, and current Transportation Minister and head of the Israeli Labor Party Merav Michaeli. There were also panel discussions on Israel's 'shadow war' with Iran and the Iranian nuclear threat, on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and on the future of the U.S.-Israel alliance, featuring experts such as Dalia Dassa Kaye and Avner Cohen (on Iran), Micah Goodman, Gilead Sher and Ameer Fakhoury (on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict), and Martin Indyk, Robert Wexler, Shibley Telhami and Shira Efron (on the U.S.-Israel alliance).
