Dr. Hofnung’s current research is focused on analyzing the impact of unsystematic data gathering — and the lack of evaluation guidelines — on policymaking related to diversity and discrimination in Israel. This past year, Dr. Hofung was a Visiting Scholar at the Nazarian Center. In 2022–23, in her new role as a Teaching Felllow, Dr. Hofnung will teach three courses sponsored by the Nazarian Center, conduct research in her area of interest, and lend her expertise to the center’s webinars and in-person events. She will also be the new managing editor of Currents: Briefs on Contemporary Israel. Dr. Hofnung received her Ph.D. in Political Science with a specialization in Human Rights from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
