The 78th Anniversary of the UN Partition Plan for Palestine – A Brief History

This Saturday, November 29, 2025, marks the 78th anniversary of United Nations General Assembly Resolution 181(II), embodying the original international two-state solution for Palestine. The anniversary commemorates one of the most important events in Israel's history.

The Arava Institute offers an accredited university-level semester or yearlong program for both undergraduate and graduate students. Students take courses in diverse environmental fields, engage in peace-building and environmental leadership seminars, and partake in educational field trips—all with a diverse student population hailing from Israel, Palestine, Jordan, and beyond.
