European Studies B.A.

The European Studies Major consists of 6 preparation courses, the language requirement, and 12 Upper Division classes. Students in the major have options to study abroad, participate in research, and complete internships associated with their major. Some students choose to double-major with other programs on campus, and several choose to add a minor.

How to Declare The Major

Incoming freshmen and transfer students may enter UCLA as a European Studies major. No declaration form required.

Students wishing to switch into our major must declare the major here.

*The minimum UC GPA for prep courses is 2.00 and the minimum GPA for UD courses is 2.00. Completion of the intermediate year of the foreign language is required to be completed by graduation.
