Open to ALL MAJORS
- 10 UCLA graded units (two classes: Glbl St 110A and 110B)
- One course can be applied to International Development Studies major Disciplinary Elective requirement
- All programs are taught in English (there are no language prerequisites).
- 3-4 week-long summer programs
- Financial aid might cover part of the cost, check with Financial Aid office for details.

Quarter in Washington (UCDC)
The UCLA Quarter in Washington Program allows you to intern in Washington, DC while taking classes related to politics, policy, and social issues that fulfill IDS major requirements. Please Note: Participants will be completing two in-person courses in Washington, DC.
The following courses are approved to fulfill IDS major requirements:
- M194 DC Seminars
- M194DC: International Development-Reducing Poverty and Inequity: Lessons from International Development (Approved for IDS 191)
- M194DC: Immigration Law and Policy (Approved for Disciplinary)
- Students may petition other seminars that address socioeconomic inequities
- CESC 155DC
Approved for Disciplinary or Regional with the following conditions (see syllabus under assignment sections): Book selection must be approved by IDS office (the book has to address international Development issues) and the Final Washington Experience Reflection must address international development topics
