Course; Beginning Sanskrit (SANS S-101) 
(8 units: UN, GR, NC) M-Th 3:30-6 pm. Prerequisite: Knowledge of Latin, Greek, or Hindi useful but not required. Tuition $4050. Limited enrollment.

This course, equivalent to two semesters of coursework, will enable students to acquire the basic reading skills in Sanskrit. Stress will be placed on learning the Devanagari script, basic grammar, and essential vocabulary. Emphasis also will be given to correct translation of passages ranging from simple narrative literature to the epics.

6 unit sourse: 2025, 8 unit course: $ 4050
Health insurance $110 (required if not covered by an US carrier)

On-campus housing (if desired):
room and board, eight week session: $3550 plus housing deposit $790 (half of it is nonrefundable)
