Dr. Amin Dezfuli is a Senior Research Scientist working at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. He has a Ph.D. in atmospheric sciences from the Florida State University. His research focuses on climate change and extreme events, their causes, and impacts, mainly over the Middle East and Africa. He uses in situ and satellite-based observations as well as climate models to address questions of fundamental and applied climatology and water resources.
Dr. Ömer Lütfi Şen is a climate scientist specialized in the field of hydroclimatology, at Istanbul Technical University’s Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences since 2004. He received his PhD in hydrology from the University of Arizona. He has been postdoctoral fellow at the University of Hawaii’s International Pacific Research Center (2000-2003) and a Mercator-IPC fellow at Sabancı University’s Istanbul Policy Center (2013). His research focus on climate variability, climate change and its impacts on water resources, namely in Turkey.
Dr. Sabine Blumstein is an advisor in water and international water cooperation at adelphi. She is particularly concerned with the political and institutional framework for sustainable water management and the role of water resources in security and foreign policy.
