  • Global Classroom "Nanjing Jinling"

    Jinling High School, founded in 1888, is a prestigious institution in Nanjing, China. Partnered with UCLA Global Classroom since 2010, it offers the China-America Program, which combines the National Chinese curriculum with UCLA courses.

About the Jinling High School

Located along the Yangtze River, Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province and the second largest city in the East China region. It is home to Global Classroom’s flagship site at Jinling High School (金陵中学). Founded in 1888, Jinling High School is one of the top public high schools in Jiangsu and has been distinguished as one of China’s “100 Key Schools.” Jinling High School has graduated over 100,000 students, including a Nobel Laureate in Literature and notable scholars in physics, mathematics, economics, and biology.

 

The UCLA Global Classroom - Jinling Program

Since 2010, UCLA Global Classroom has worked with Jinling High School to build the Zhongmei Ban Program/中美班 (ZMB/ “China-America Program”). In addition to courses from the National Chinese curriculum, ZMB students take Advanced Placement (AP) courses and credit-bearing UCLA courses, with the support and mentorship of UCLA lecturers and staff.

Students who enrolled in the UCLA Global Classroom - Jinling program have gone onto many top universities including Chicago, Columbia, UC Berkeley, and UCLA.
