How to create a group related with a center/program

Please upgrade to a browser that supports HTML5 video or install Flash

To create a center/program group in Webtools, click the Centers & Groups link in the Directory module box. Here you should locate the center/program that you would like to add a group to. You can do this by searching by center/program name. When you locate the center/program, first click Manage Groups, then on the Manage Groups page, click New Group.

There are only two fields in the Group Information section, both of which are mandatory: Group Title and Group Type. Both fields are usually for your center's informational purposes. If you would like a new group type added to the list, please contact the International Institute IST group.

These instructions are all you need to create a new group. Finally, after you are done, you should always remember to click Save, OK on the confirmation prompt, then Exit.

How to add and edit members to a group

Please upgrade to a browser that supports HTML5 video or install Flash

To add/edit members of a center/program group in Webtools, go to Centers & Groups, locate the center/program and click Manage Groups, then locate the group and click Manage Members.

On the Manage Members page, in the second section, you can search for members by name. This search applies to both the first name and last name fields. Once you locate the desired member, click Add to List - this will carry the particular member to the members table above. You can assign other members the same way.

On the members table you can remove each member, or you can reorder your list. Do not forget to click Save List Order after editing this table.

When you go back to the Manage Groups page and locate your source group, you can see the number of members you just assigned to your source group on the table.
